'Let me look at you,' your mother smiled lovingly, getting you by the hands and leading you into the light of the living room. 'Oh, honey, you look lovely. Greg will be blown away.'
You chuckled, slowly pulling your hands from your mother's grasp. ‘It’s just a date, mom, and I'm wearing the same jeans as this morning. I know what you're trying to do...'
You mother laughed, hitting you softly on the shoulder. 'Well, what's wrong with giving my daughter a confidence boost. You always look more beautiful when you smile.'
You nodded. 'I know, and I'll remember that when stuffing myself with fries.'
